The lovely chaps from The Last Tuesday Society (who also run the awesome Little Shop of Horrors) asked me to do an illustration for a new night their putting on called, 'Dress Like a Beast Dance Like a Beast.' It's a strictly animal only dress code and sounds like it's going to be great fun. Watch out for screen prints of this one soon, available exclusively at the Little Shop of Horrors.

I finally got a chance to drop in on one of The British Museum's Teddy Time Traveller workshops and take some pictures of my ancient civilization themed illustrated backgrounds in action, it seemed like a really fun day and it was really cool that all the teddies had different historical names. Here's my contribution to Church of London's lovely newspaper project, The Good Times. They asked me to draw something that made me happy, so I thought I'd do a Bart Simpson illustration as I do love the little yellow fellow. I only had an afternoon to do it so couldn't draw the whole gang but I think I might do when I get a chance.

Here's a series of illustrations I did to accompany an article by master jellymongers, Bompas & Parr. The piece is about their favourite historical jellies and also features a recipe for glow in the dark jelly, which I shall definitely be trying out soon. Not sure when the mag is out but it's going to be Risograph printed, which I have never done before, so I'm very much looking forward to seeing how they come out.

I recently took part in Mill Co's and Monotype's annual exhibtion. They teamed up and asked a selection of image makers to create artworks using one of three Monotype fonts - Akko, Neue Haas Grotesk, and Rotis II. The exhibition runs at the Mill Co Project gallery in East London until November 24. There's also a nice write up about it on the Creative Review blog.

I've was asked by the British Museum to come up with some illustrations for a series interactive workshops they are running in conjunction with the Grayson Perry, Tomb of the Unknown Craftsman exhibition on at the moment. The wanted five backgrounds (Ancient Greek, Roman, Chinese, Aztec and Egyptian themed, all incorporating objects from the BM collections) that visitors can have their picture taken in front of.

Here at Flowers Towers I've been burning the midnight oil to finish some print design for the surf brand Mambo. I've been sworn to secrecy about it until it comes out in February(!) but I thought I'd give you a sneaky peek at a tiny little detail from it. I'll keep you posted on further developments as and when I'm allowed to.

I finally found some time start screen printing some glow in the dark posters, I'm halfway through the process right now (I've just got to over print the black on them then they're done). They should be available to buy in the next couple weeks.

The Burgerac Burgermat show finally came around the other day and it didn't disappoint, it was ruddy awesome! I had the best burger I've ever eaten, provided by the amazingly talented Fred Smith Daniel Young and crew. I also got to see all 24 different placemats and meet wonderfully welcoming and many of the ace artists and illustrators involved in the show. An A2 print of my McDonald's piece is available from Print Process now, get them while they're hot.

I've been working on this Space Storm God piece on and off for a few weeks now and I've finally finished. It'll be available as an A3 screenprint courtesy of fellow Toy member Nicholas Saunders at Loop Art Fair on the 17th - 19th June. It was originally gonna be a 5 colour blacklight print inspired by Third Eye's Marvel posters from the 1970s but I did a black and white version for Loop. The UV version will be available as soon as I've printed them.

Details of the Burgermat dinner show hosted by the ace Burgerac have finally been released. Design Week and Urban Outfitters were kind enough to feature my McDonaldland themed contribution on their blogs. Most of my favourite characters are featured; Mayor McCheese, Officer Big Mac, the (original four-armed, milkshake stealing, evil) Grimace, the Hamburger Patch, and the milkshake volcanoes to name a few.
The show is on for one night only and is limited to 64 guests, all of whom get a delicious burger and their own placemat, (illustrated by one of the awesome artist involved) to take home. The show is on the 27th of June and A2 prints of all the works will be available from Print-Process from the 28th of June (and pre - order now).
Tickets for the show and dinner cost £40 and are available to those on the Young and Foodish mailing list from 13 June. More info here. Flowers Towers is an state of giddy excitement over this one, it's gonna be well good!

I recently did an illustration for the ace Fire&Knives. The piece was about the respective merits of butter and margarine and which is best, so it seemed pretty apt to pit them against each other in a fight to the death.

I've recently contributed to the Creative Review Designers for Japan Appeal. The theme of the illustration was some of my favourite Japanese things. (I couldn't fit all of my favourite things in there) There are Yokai, Kaiju, computer game characters, films and many more things to spot. It's available to buy in A2, A1 and A0 format here. If you'd like it on your wall please do buy one as all proceeds go to the Red Cross relief effort.
